Who am I? Creating a positive identity from a divided background

Competences to be exercised:

The skill of planning and practising open dialogues about being in care and having a family of origin.
•  Using staffs member’s life experiences as a resource for exemplary narratives.
•  Helping children and youth understand their behaviour as natural reactions to loss.
•  How to make practical activities for young children where experiences of loss can be resolved.

Theme of the session:
In this training session you are going to work with helping children develop a positive idea about who they are and a high self-esteem.
The session provides tools for how the child can cope with having different sources of origin.

 

Aims of the session:
The main goal of this session is to help children form a positive idea about who they are by helping them understand their background.
