About Fairstart Foundation

On a global basis, more than 100 million children are without parental care. Part of these children and youth grow up in institutions and foster care systems. Their caregivers are often underpaid, not supported much by local governments and they have no access to formal care education.

The purpose of the Fairstart Foundation is to improve the professional skills of caregivers by connecting child researchers, organisations and leaders. We use sophisticated IT training systems to provide local care organisations with high quality and low cost online training programmes to support the development of at-risk children and their caregivers.

Fairstart offers quality care training for caregivers in all group care systems as well as foster care systems. Our online training programmes have been developed with the assistance of a global network of child-at-risk researchers and experts.

To ensure successful implementation, Fairstart also offers a Certified Instructor Education that educates programme instructors to teach our training programmes.
