From family to foster family: Making your home your workplace

Competences to be exercised:
•  Mapping the positive values in the foster family.
•  Creating awareness of how these values are the tools to develop professional care.
•  Preparing the family members for their new roles.

Theme of the session:
In this training session you are going to work with the process of becoming a professional place of care and finding the professional competences of your family life. It is a bit like preparing to give birth to a child – it starts a lot of reflections, hopes and doubts.

Aims of the session:
The main goal of this session is to map the family values that will be your professional competences in the task of becoming a foster family.
